These Boots Weren't Made for Muckin!

At RiverTrail Mercantile in North Carolina, you won't find many boots suitable for riding your favorite Haflinger, plowing the field on your Ford tractor, or muckin' the stalls. What you will find is a large selection of unique, high fashion cowgirl boots that will make day to day activities and special occasions a little more fun.

Family owned and operated, we began the hunt for cowboy boots about 3 years ago. We hopped on board with Lucchese first, a timeless, classic collection that offered comfort, quality, and darling designs. Old Gringo was our next stop - a company that was creating the most phenomenal hand made cowboy boots in Mexico. Every design was full of personality - bright colors, intricate embroidery, even boots with Swarovski Crystals! We couldn't resist! Next up was the Corral Boot Company. They offered super cute designs - florals, horse shoes, crosses, wings - at very affordable prices. Since our start, we have added boots by other amazing companies like Lane, Anderson Bean (Macie Bean), and a fabulous funky vintage line called The Feather Junkie.

RiverTrail decided early on that our selection wouldn't include too many simple boots - we didn't want cowgirl kicks you could find just anywhere - basic brown, basic black - no thanks, we wanted flare! Each style tells a story. Several are aptly named to reflect their personality. For instance, the "Oh My God" by Old Gringo, which dons gorgeous multi-color cross designs, and makes our customers say OMG every time.
When you purchase a pair of boots from RiverTrail, whether you get the chance to experience our store in person or online, you walk away with something special. We know this because we hand select each product with a person in mind. We are proud to carry over 600 styles of fabulous boots in our gorgeous Timber Frame store on a country corner that is literally out in the middle of nowhere. Fashion is a direct reflection of your soul, and cowgirl boots are no exception. Just remember, "These Boots Weren't Made for Muckin!"
